2. Now that we have reviewed the I.Q.O.S. steps to a word problem, lets continue. Take out a piece of paper and number 1-3. You will answer these three multiplication word problems.
When you are finished, raise your hand for a teacher to check your work.
- Mr. Underwood is buying pencils for his classroom. He buys 8 packs of pencils. Each pack has a total of 5 pencils in them. How many pencils in all will Mr. Underwood be buying?
- Mr. Underwood is baking apple pies for the fall festival at Mountain View Elementary School. He must bake 7 pies. Each pie takes 4 apples to bake. How many apples must Mr. Underwood buy at the store to be able to bake all the pies?
- Basketball is a big sport in Manchester. Tony scores 6 points in each game he plays in. If Tony plays in 5 games, how many points will he have scored in all?

2. Create a multiplication word problem using the information previously learned in Module 2. The word problem will have a Christmas/Holiday theme to it.
3. You will be graded as followed:
Students must write their own multiplication word problem. Within the problem, the students will write the problem and solve it correctly. Students will be graded based off a rubric-
